Why I’m Totally “On Board” with the Fisker Ocean

A Revolutionary Vehicle & Deal All Rolled Up into One

Granted, Fisker has had a turbulent economical past, but now the company is totally focused on the future and gearing up for production of the Fisker Ocean - the world's most sustainable car.

Automotive enthusiasts like me are super excited about this incredible electric car. In fact, I am one of the first preorders!

The vehicle is generating quite a bit of buzz online. As promotions continue, people may even be considering it over a Tesla. Apparently, one of the reasons has to do with the deals attached to the release of the electric car.

Flexible Terms

Getting a new car should be fun, not running a gauntlet of dealership red tape. Fisker has done away with all that. Their terms are apparently quite attractive, and quite a relief to those wanting to buy an environmentally friendly vehicle, but not wanting to spend tons of money.

One huge bonus to those loose terms is this: If you aren't happy with your vehicle, cancel the contract! No kidding; love it or leave it. Pretty nice.

A Bolder Shape & Style

The Ocean makes many promises, two of them being a bolder style and sleeker frame. Compared to other electric vehicles, and other SUVs in general, the automobile is definitely eye-catching. But many consumers are now considering safety, economy and environment in addition to a physically pleasing appearance.

With incidents caught on video of Tesla cars spontaneously combusting, safety is obviously a priority. Many have blamed Tesla batteries, and have wondered about the overall safety of electric cars in general. Equipped with a solid-state lithium ion battery, claims are already being made that Fisker vehicles are safer overall.

More Affordable Than the Competition

Apart from the terms and conditions, aside from all the promises of safety and helping to keep the world clean, the thing many people are excited about is the price. The “base price” on one of these is $37,499. Compared to a Tesla, that's pretty affordable.

The World’s Most Sustainable Vehicle?

Perhaps. First, the Ocean is all-electric, boasts zero-emissions, and is made with recycled materials. It has a range of 250-300 miles on a single charge, and a handy in-app charging stations map. It also features a solar rooftop, adding miles per day to its range.

All Vegan Interior

In addition to the Ocean being electric, another innovation is that the interior is fabricated using completely vegan materials. No animals were used in the fabrication of this vehicle. I commend the company for their forward and compassionate thinking. That means no leather seats, but I’m sure you’ll be perfectly comfortable anyway.

Rubber

Another fantastic piece of news is that the rubber used in making the tires will supposedly be used in the vehicle as well. There are millions of acres of wasted rubber polluting this planet, and to finally have a place to put some of it is pretty amazing. It's a small step, but eventually, maybe all companies will follow suit.

A Built-In Karaoke

Warm up those pipes, folks, because the new Ocean comes with a built-in Karaoke system! Anywhere you go, you can sing along to your favorite songs. Unless, of course, the kids are in the car, in which case you’ll be hearing the theme to Frozen 2 over and over and over again. I know, this feature is a double-edged sword.

In Conclusion

I am totally on board - are you? Personally, I don’t know what’s not to love, but it’s always worth doing your own research as well. As Standard Oil used to wish all of us, “Happy Motoring!”
